I have been working on The Sweete Life, on and off, for almost a decade now. It was originally conceived as a comic book, but due to my own limitations as an artist, it never made it past one unpublished issue. Soon after this, I began developing prose stories for my characters, some based on drawings that I did, others springing forward without any other provocation. As I worked out these stories, others developed; I began exploring their motivations and origins, and I found that I had more story to tell than I could have imagined at the beginning. I really wanted to tell the story, and it's only recently that I have had the means to do so.
